Jingle all the way

Hello and Happy New Year all, Chantelle here, I hope you are finding some time to create for yourself after such a busy time of year!!  I have a festive page to share today.

Jingle all the way
I received this great piece of chipboard in my pack: Jingle all the Way - and decided to use it for this fun page of my boys.  We try to do a picture every year of them together - it's becoming a bit of a tradition and I'm glad they still like to pose for me ☺

I've used my water colour paints - shading in with white, green and red, keeping to the more traditional colours.  Then I've added some red glitter to the baubles and some crystal glitter to parts of the wording.  It gives a nice sparkly to the page!

The small heart and arrow chipboard comes from the Been there done that Polaroid Frame set.

There's lots of lovely chipboard pieces in the shop for your Christmas pages!

Til next time - happy creating.

For the Boys

Hello there, Chantelle here to share more layouts using some fabulous chipboard.

Hello Darling
Today I'm using the Square Charm Set - I'm using some of the assorted squares in different sizes and also the larger pieces.

I love giving the chipboard colour, especially to match in with the bright photo!  I've gone with red, blue and white!
Each piece has been hand painted with the different colours.  On the white, I've added some glitter paint to give it some sparkle.
I still have quite a few of the different sized squares left-over from this set, so I'll be sure to use them on another page soon ☺

I was delighted to see this bow and arrow set in my pack of chipboard!  My son has a bow and arrow so I knew it wouldn't take me long to create a page with this fun set.

Bow and Arrow
The chipboard has some lovely details on it, which you won't want to cover up with any mediums, so I've left it raw.

I've also used some of the Mesh Panel as a feature for behind the photo and pattern papers.

I have enough left-over to create another page!

Til next time, happy creating!

Beautiful

Hello there!
Today I have a scrapbook page to share which uses some pieces from Your Creative Wings Chipboard.

I love to scrapbook and record recent pictures, as the moments are always fresh in your mind.  The other week, my youngest son and I took a walk along the beach near the iconic Busselton Jetty - I'm always amazed by our beautiful beaches!

Here are some close-up's:

For the title I've given it some colour with water colour paints.  I firstly do a base coat of white, so it's neutral - then I've painted on the blue, concentrating on different areas to give different shades of blue.
I finish it off with a coat of crystal glitter by DecoArt - it gives a nice shimmer in real life.

To make this frame a feature on the page, I've added in a photo - I've done the same water colour process for this piece of chipboard too.  But I've also added in some micro beads in blue and silver.

Pop over to the online shop HERE to view these chipboard pieces and many more .....

Sharing......

Good morning Rikki here today to share what happens when you friend raids Your Creative Wings stash.... not to mention that shes not a big fan of lumpy and bumpy and you can mange to convert her... So thank you Ree Walker for sharing with us your layout !!!

Hey there,

Hope you are having a great week! I have been flat out with study and parenting and all that fun stuff, but I managed to sneak in a little tiny bit of scrapping. I completed a cover page of sorts for my personal album and I was lucky enough to get hold of some of the gorgeous laser cut products offered by Your Creative Wings.

I love chipboard! I am not a big fan of any crazy bulk in my pocket spreads so chipboard works beautifully, and the range and quality offered at Your Creative Wings is incredible!

I added some colour with Dylusions sprays, some watercolour and a gold sharpie and that card was ready to go! I will admit, I was also playing with these... but had an epic fail at my desk and split water everywhere, thought I had cleaned it up, and I had... except for the puddle on my chipboard stash!

The layout came together and I love the way the chipboard embellishment turned out, not to mention I really enjoyed getting inky!

Thanks for dropping by, til next time!

Young Wild and Free

Hey there, another page to inspire you!  Your Creative Wings chipboard is a great addition to any scrapbook page.    I've done a little mixed media style today, but still keeping it simple.

My title: Young Wild and Free was the perfect piece for this photo as my little boy was having a wonderful through some trees near a river.

I have also used the Mesh Panel piece, cutting into it so I could have some behind the photo and also to the side.  And I still have some left-over!

I've given the chipboard pieces a light coat of white water colour paint and then painted on a few coats of DecoArt crystal glitter sealer.  This gives it a slight shimmer which is lovely 'in real life'.

These two pieces are available in store now so please take a look online ☺

Seriously Cute

Hello there, I'm back to share another page using the fabulous chipboard from Your Creative Wings.  I had a lovely scrappy day with a friend and created this fun page!
I used chipboard pieces from the Lots of Cogs set - and yes, this item does have a lot of cogs!  It will definitely let you create a few pages and maybe more ..... ☺

I have given the chipboard pieces some colour to match in with the photo - first painting them white and then adding shades of blue.  I love stamping and use my script stamp a lot; so you will always see bits of script on my work!

To make a feature embellishment, I layered two pieces of cogs and then added a button.

I love how this page came together - cogs are great for boys pages!

I hope you feel inspired to create a fun page with chipboard ☺

Step by Step with Anne Marie

Good morning a step by step layout from Anne Marie today.

I have a box of odd photos that for one reason or another were printed and then not used. So I collected a random assortment of me and had a bit of fun trying out a painting technique. Always on the lookout for inspiration, would you believe I actually found this design on the wrapper of a sanitary napkin! LOL J Too much information? Hey, when inspiration strikes you don’t ask questions… you just go with it!

I used a bamboo skewer to roll the paint onto my cardstock and then dipped a plastic ruler in black paint to create the messy stripes. I like the contrast of black against the bright yellow and pink colour palette. I love these pendant circles (there is a similar one in squares too) which is why, once again, we have “retro” circle photos. How long has it been since you cut a photo into a circle? I also added a few glass beads for a bit of added interest and used stickers, a stencil and YCW alphas for the “me me ME” title.
